Learn musical creation through melody, harmony, and creative techniques
Through a balance of listening analysis, score study, guided writing exercises, and creative workshops, students will develop essential composition skills such as thematic development, harmonic structure, rhythmic design, orchestration basics, stylistic writing, and musical storytelling. Emphasis is placed on transforming ideas into coherent works.
The program is designed for students with varied backgrounds, from beginners writing their first pieces to intermediate seeking to refine their voice and expand their range. Each class focuses on a specific compositional concept, building upon previous material to support confident, intentional, and expressive music creation. Students receive ongoing feedback to help shape their unique artistic direction and compositional style.
